Ideal for: Road trips around the Bay of Fundy with the dog in the back seat.
Think twice if: Room service and a choice of restaurants matter to you.

The pitch

Moncton, 2010: Casino New Brunswick opens with casino, hotel and entertainment centre under one roof. Great Canadian Entertainment operates it, and if you're looking for a casino hotel in Atlantic Canada, this is the one.

Sleeping: generous by casino standards

There are 126 rooms and suites, and they're big. Deluxe King: from 440 sq ft. Deluxe Two Queen: from 490. Both come with city or mountain views, high ceilings, windows that open, 300-thread-count sheets and walk-in showers. Suites start with the 590 sq ft Studio, rise to the 795 sq ft Luxury, and top out with the fifth-floor Marquis, which has its own balcony and two bathrooms.

Minimum age to reserve or check in: 19. Children can stay with you but aren't allowed in 19+ areas. Rooms open at four, checkout is eleven, and for now there's no room service.

Playing

Tables: blackjack, baccarat, I Luv Suits, craps, roulette. Poker: a private room called "the Lighthouse", open Thursday to Saturday evenings. Slots: new titles arrived in December 2025 and March 2026. The Rewards Club costs nothing and takes a little off buffet and gift-shop bills.

Eating, drinking, shows

Only two options, both 19+: The Buffet, Wednesday to Saturday (Thursday is Ribs & Wings, Friday is AA Prime Rib, members pay a few dollars less), and the Hub City Pub on the casino floor. Concerts play at the on-site Molson Canadian Centre.

Pool, gym, pets

Pool and gym are both here, with supervision required for under-12s. Up to two cats or dogs (50 lbs each at most) can stay for $40 a night; they can't go into the pool, gym or restaurants. Parking is free, but at check-in you'll be asked for your vehicle's make, model and licence plate.

Around Moncton

The hotel's list of nearby sights: the Capitol Theatre, TreeGO, Tidal Bore Park, and Magnetic Hill with its zoo. For a longer outing, Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy is an easy day trip.

Our take

Big rooms, a pool and a welcome for pets add up to an excellent road-trip stop. Eat out in Moncton at least once; the dining in-house is limited.
